Tour 1: Operations Centre & Royal Canadian Pacific (RCP) Experience (limited to 20 people)

In breakout groups of 10, participants will have a guided, safety-briefed visit through the Operations Centre and Royal Canadian Pacific (RCP) train facility. The Operations Centre is the heartbeat of rail operations where participants can observe real-time dispatch of trains and crews safely and efficiently.   

Groups will then move through the Royal Canadian Pacific (RCP) train facility which houses business cars that belonged to executives in the 1920s.  The cars have been restored or refurbished to their original splendor. Period furniture, silver settings, brass accents, walnut paneling and open vestibules are the pinnacle of a bygone tradition of elegance steeped in tradition.  

This tour is ideal for those interested in history and operational oversight, risk management, and the coordination required to manage rail movements across the network.

Tour 2: Hydrogen Locomotive & Training Simulator Experience (limited to 20 people)

In breakout groups of 10, participants will explore the future of rail sustainability up close with a working hydrogen locomotive.  In addition the tour will view the operations training centre including the locomotive simulator

Groups will also move through the Royal Canadian Pacific (RCP) train facility which houses business cars that belonged to executives in the 1920s.  The cars have been restored or refurbished to their original splendor. This tour is ideal for those interested in history and hydrogen locomotive design and role in advancing sustainable rail operations as well as operator training. Combined with a stop at the RCP.
